Guarding Lagos' Living Waters
Lagos has always been a city of water — its creeks, lagoons and coastline once powered pre-colonial trade and still sustain life. These waters harbour Olive Ridley, Hawksbill and Leatherback sea turtles, the West African manatee, migratory birds and vulnerable fish stocks, including those found in Omu Creek and the wider lagoon system.
